Sally Boy’s; The Trifecta of Pizza Perfection

You can find pizza on almost every street corner across the country. It’s (un)officially America’s favorite food. So why on earth would someone set out to open yet another pizza place? Sit back, relax, and enjoy a story of tradition, innovation, and passion.

Like most kids, our founder grew up with a passion for pizza. But not just any pizza – NY style pizza. It was on the streets of NY visiting a childhood friend that he sampled the many different types of pies, crusts, and toppings.

And while NY offers some of the best pizza in the country, it was later in life that he learned Italy takes the cake (or should we say pie?) for the best pizza in the world. NY offered that classic, crispy, foldable slice but Italy exceeded these crave worthy options with the airy and crunchy square pizza of Rome and that ultra light and puffy—yet crispy, charred crust found only in Naples.

So the question became; wouldn’t it be great if you could get that legendary NY, Neapolitan or Roman pizza experience from one local destination?

And Sally Boy’s was born.

Sally Boy’s isn’t your average pizza eatery; we’re the trifecta of pizza perfection, offering three distinct styles of pizza crafted from three very unique dough recipes.

Three flours, three styles, infinite flavor.

Our three different doughs can’t be found anywhere else. We hand crafted each recipe right here in the Sally Boy’s kitchen to create three exceptional, legendary pizza experiences:

  1. Classic NY Style: Thin, crispy, and foldable – our House pizza is exactly what you’d find on the busy streets of NYC. It’s a favorite among those who love a classic slice.
  2. Neapolitan Style: Straight out of our brick oven in about 2 minutes or less, sink your teeth into a crust that is hot and crispy on the outside yet ultra soft and puffy on the side. With that signature bubbly, perfectly charred crust, it’s the popular choice for those looking for an authentic taste of Italy.
  3. Roman Style: A labor of love crafted with a very unique dough recipe that requires a lot of H20 and a lot of time! The dough’s long fermentation process coupled with its higher hydration yield an airy, crunchy bottom square pizza with a crisp, light dough. It’s offered on our Sicilian deep dish pie and our Grandma, a thin crust version of our popular Sicilian. It’s the perfect option for those who enjoy a crunchier crust.

It’s In the Oven - Literally

While many pizza ‘joints’ cook their pizza in one type of oven, Sally Boy’s uses two distinct types of ovens based on the dough recipe. Our Ferrari red Castelli electric oven is the famed oven used in the pizza eateries of Rome. In fact, we imported our Castelli oven all the way from Italy to ensure an authentic result.

Then we have our Fiori brick oven. With a cooking temperature of 800 degrees, this is how pizza is made in a flash in Naples, Italy.
